Due to your kindness and support, our first annual memorial outing was an outstanding success. With your generous contributions we raised $8,660 for Ryan’s Scholarship Fund at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. In spite of the inclement weather we had 88 golfers and most finished their round.
When Nancy, Bret and I established the scholarship with the University, our goal was to create an endowment that will provide an ongoing source of financial help for future students at UNLV as well as an everlasting tribute to our son and brother, Ryan. This contribution will make our dream that much closer to reality. For that, we are truly grateful to everyone who participated in the event; be it a golfer, donor or volunteer.
We learned a tremendous amount from hosting this first outing and we promise to do our best to make next year’s event an even better experience. Once again, thank you, and we hope you will continue to support the tournament and the eventual recipients of the proceeds, the students of UNLV.
